166 - DOME

I'm not sure when this was but one Sunday after church Pachel and I went for a movie, and before that managed to squeeze a tight lunch at DOME (Shaw)

Eh don't joke ok Cheng very fashionable and b-u-t-ful that day ok she wore a leopard print tank with a black maxi~ HAHA

Cannot remember what I wore though it probably went along the lines of black, black and brown. (Oh god this picture was so warm and yellow I had to apply a cooling filter before I could even do anything to it)

Anyway, I don't particularly like DOME, and still don't. I think Cheng was the one who had the lasagna~ (I ate her salad, as usual)

I know I had salmon or something to that extent but it escapes my memory. Anyway, we ordered desserts, but they took forever to serve them and we were going to be late for our show (... was it Water for Elephants.. <- good movie: shows that Pattinson can actually act, surprise surprise.) but when we threatened to cancel they served it right up!

Apple crumble for me, sucker of all desserts apple, and some chocolate molten lava cake for Pachel who bulks high on calories but never gets fat.

Dome dome dome, no thank you~

165 - Happy Birthday Jazell!

I haven't posted in so long oh god, but I decided to /restart/ my blog again.

Anyway, Jazell's birthday lunch was actually post-exams since her birthday is in the middle of it, and I sort of started the tradition where we'd be treating the other two on our birthdays! (I treated at Swensen's, and now the price is hiking up with Jazell's one being at Skinny Pizza)

My idea! I wanted to try the black squid ink pizza haha to be honest it was good I really liked it a lot but my brother says otherwise. We visited the Wheelock outlet (near Sun&Moon - filling, ok-ok Japanese set meals)

This is the black squid ink thin crust pizza with calamari and prawns and what nonsense~ Jayzehl really likes the crust lol (Had to stamp down the urge to eat everything because Jazell IS paying)

Close up! We also had another pizza idk something like yogurt and curry (??) and chicken. Didn't enjoy that one as much though~

And then halfway through, we decided to order the meter long sausage hahaha just for the kicks of it. Look at that. Actually by then, the two pizzas had us quite full so we were all squabbling on how much everyone should shove down their throats, but in the end, of course we finished it.

No food be wasted!

And after that I introduced Jayzehl, our resident chocoholic to the wonders of Royce's nama white chocolate and we bought her one box as a gift hahaha.

Meh.

164 - National Day Home Dinner

Ok technically this was National Day Eve, but anyway my parents got a bit inspired by our Jones dinner the sat before (in the coming posts~) that we had a dinner along with my bro's gf at our house~

Our copy of Jones' Waldorf Salad~~~ Basically green apple, walnuts, leaves, yogurt and mayo

And we had chicken!

And at that time (now she found out cheese is fattening. idk how many years of her life that took her to figure out) my mom (and dad sort of) were crazy over gourmet cheese and crackers so we bought some crackers, bread from Cedele and got some ham and camembert cheese to go with it ^^

I guess it was a not bad dinner lol but oh so full and mother served us barley and ginko nut soup (forever love) after that too

Final Fantasy XII-2

Made this today. Good lord Final Fantasy XII-2 looks so bloody gorgeous (except Lightning isn't really the star anymore). And Serah is still useless -_-

161 - Belated at Lawry's

Piped butter alright! Mother and I went to Lawry's at Mandarin Gallery today. She said it was my belated birthday meal lol idk but right now they're having one-for-one main course promotion if you have a DBS/POSB card ^^

They served sourdough and plain (? I guess. The waitress wasn't Singaporean she was .. idk what I couldn't hear past her accent and pronunciation). I really have to address this issue! Singapore's service industry is so sad! It's all foreigners and what not even in higher-end restaurants and when they try to explain all the fancy names you don't even know what they're saying!!!

They served their usual "original spinning salad bowl" with homemade sauce and what not.

I think the service was quite slow today imo they had a big group of people, and we waited quite long for our meat to be served ): But anyway, they eventually came, and as usual we got our beef medium. But this time mother and I ordered the California Cut instead of the Singapore cut, which is slightly smaller, so we were really full lol

Yorkshire pudding! I've never usually been a fan of it but today I had appetite for it hahaha. Ate two slices of it~

LOOK AT MY MEAT!!!!!!!!!! Delicious and scrumptious but there was quite a bit of fat :/ But still tender nonetheless and remains my mother's favorite steak

Then we got coffee and chocolates. Technically we only got one cup of it because we only ordered one set and shared it between us (I took the juice mother's taking the coffee). The chocolate was quite good lol but my palate is not good enough to tell what the filling actually is haha but I would have eaten another one

And we had an English Trifle for dessert which my mother really likes too. Strawberry sponge cake with some more gooey thing.. ok I'm terrible at explaining this but it was good. End of story!!

160 - Crossroads Cafe

Yesterday, my mum was on leave so she picked me up after cca and we went for dinner ! That was really early like 5+? And then she wanted to go Hyatt's Mezza9 (again lol) because there's free parking HAHA but in the end we found out their dinner service doesn't start till 6 (and we wanted to finish by 630)

Then they recommended we go up to the Oasis Restaurant (by the poolside) which serves a la carte, but after we finally got there, they said that they were preparing for a BBQ service or some shit like that so we couldn't eat there either!!

In the end we just walked over to Marriott Hotel's Crossroads Cafe (the outdoors one with people forever drinking liquor?) Anyway, I felt so out of place in my school uniform and everyone there was either caucasian and/or drinking liquor. :/

The bread was good~ Soft, warm and fluffy, but Mezza9's is still my fav. (Equinox's was a bit hard...) but they only served it with olive oil. I like my bread with olive oil AND butter.

My dad ordered the grilled chicken salad if i'm not wrong. OMG they are so generous with the chicken \o/ It's like a mountain of chicken and some leaves. And the chicken is quite tender too~

My mum ordered the beef hor fun (the beef was quite good. Don't ask me about the hor fun: I used to love hor fun a lot and then suddenly I lose my appetite/want to puke whenever I think about having to eat it :|)

And I ordered the Norwegian Grilled Salmon (partly because there was a healthy symbol next to it too lol)

It was quite good! (except I didn't eat anything else on the plate lol I'm not a terribly big fan of tomatoes, olives should only exist in oil and I'm a leafy-vegetable person) the fish was good and tender and I wish there was a bigger piece lol. A really nice orange-pink too ^u^

Then my mum and I ordered this fruit platter with mango passion sorbet dessert.

It looks nice, but a lot of the elements were sour. The sorbet was sour, but I'm used to it, but the mangoes and the strawberries were really sour, the papayas weren't even ripe!!!

Bleh, but I guess it was quite a nice meal? ^^

LOL and earlier on during CCA, Enyu gave me the best birthday present I have received so far HAHAHA I WILL ENJOY THIS A LOT (along with the numerous other boxes I have stowed away in my cupboard)

159 - More Birthday Celebrations

So before we went Equinox, we actually went to my grandma's house to celebrate with my cousins. Don't expect high class food LOL

Pizza/fast food is kind of a staple everytime we go and visit. And because my brother was "craving"... we had

And god forbid..

Yuck ew I didn't eat any of that ok lol. In fact I didn't eat much because in the late morning (other than my 5am breakfast), I had my Starbucks soy banana muffin! \o/ shit I love this thing. Soft goodness all around. I like the coffee bean one too though there's chocolate in that one

Anyway, we also had a cookies and cream ice cream cake from swensens. AND YES YOU CAN JUDGE ME but I didn't eat it (there weren't really enough slices anyway) and I'm just not so fond of ice cream and saving my stomach for dinner at Equinox teehee

They packed dry ice into the box when we bought it, so my cousins went a bit crazy over it hahaha

On Tuesday, which was my actual birthday.. After my chinese paper and before my chem practical exam, Chua, Jayzehl and I went to Swensens! Because they are the only shop that opens at 1030 and serves proper food.

But before that... we went to Carrefour to waste time HAHA we took a big trolley in the end the only things inside was one roll of oreos, a jar of peanut butter and an apple tart from their bakery (and our bags LOL)

The apple tart serves as my birthday cake!! (didn't get a picture. forgot before i gobbled it up lol) I liked it quite a bit even though the apple was a bit sweet for me~

LOL AND THEN WE BROUGHT THE PEANUT BUTTER TO SWENSEN'S because Jayzehl wanted to eat it straight from the jar HAHA in the end they stopped us though because they're Halal.....

Anyway, I had some chicken teriyaki burger (I have no idea where the picture is), and mary
had some beef sandwich thingum which was quite sweet, but not bad I guess?

LOL AND JAYZEHL HAD BEEF LASAGNE and I dont know if it's because of the lasagne or something she ate in the morning but she got really sick, with stomach ache and everything, and by the time we got back to school she was puking and shit so she missed her chem prac....

P.S. btw i took the bill who's proud of me
